2023

Surge for Water 2022-2023

On March 22, 2022, World Water Day, we began our partnership with Surge for Water to raise awareness of the global water crisis that negatively impacts 2.2 billion people. A contribution from our ESG and Sunshine committees will impact over 800 lives through their WASH hygiene and sanitation training program in rural Uganda.

We partnered with Surge again in 2023 to help make a tangible difference in the world’s water crisis.

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital Toy Donation

In December 2022, Sterilex collected donations of cash and toys to benefit the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital. Contributions from the community and beyond help spread holiday cheer to patients and their families.

IDFA Annual Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party

Our Sterilex team celebrated National Dairy Month by volunteering at IDFA‘s 38th Annual Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party on June 22. This essential summertime event brings together thousands of people, including members of Congress, their families, Capitol Hill staff and many other special guests in a fun event showcasing America’s favorite frozen treat.

Baltimore Hunger Project Notes of Encouragement

In June 2022, the Sterilex team made and decorated notes of encouragement to accompany bagged lunches the Baltimore Hunger Project provides to children in the Baltimore metropolitan area who experience food insecurity over the weekends.

Adopt-A-Road Cleanup

Sterilex is committed to maintaining a one-mile stretch of road near our headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Throughout the year, we spend a few hours cleaning up the area as part of the Adopt-a-Road program.

Crossroads School Chemistry Demo

The Sterilex R&D Team visited Crossroads Middle School in March 2022 and performed several demonstrations for 8th graders. The students were studying exothermic and endodermic chemical reactions and our chemists showcased these types of reactions.

Baltimore Humane Society

In March 2022, we collected donations for the Baltimore Humane Society (BHS). BHS was founded to protect the Baltimore region’s pets and to address and prevent their suffering. They have developed a set of tenets that represent their commitments to the pets they care for.

Small Business Continuity Program

In an effort to help flatten the curve during the Coronavirus pandemic, Sterilex donated product to help small businesses as they opened their doors to the community, giving priority consideration to local restaurants and essential small business. In addition, Sterilex donated a roadmap for sanitation as these businesses navigated reopening. Sterilex is committed to controlling microbial threats and doing our best to help businesses maintain healthy environments for their employees and customers.

Living Classrooms Science Fair

Sterilex’s R&D team returned to Crossroads School to judge the 8th grade science fair. Although each student’s work was outstanding, two young ladies’ projects rose to the top as the students presented their hard work.

Living Classrooms Demo

Sterilex’s R&D team was excited to share their love of science with 8th grade students from Living Classrooms at Crossroads School in Baltimore. The team conducted several experiments, answered questions, and enjoyed interacting with the future scientists.

Volunteering at Moveable Feast

The Sterilex team regularly works with Moveable Feast to prepare meals. Moveable Feast is an organization in Baltimore, MD that prepares and delivers nutritious meals, along with providing other services to those living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other serious illnesses.
